Question 1

Can access control and attendance share the same badge?

Accepted Answer

Yes. One credential can open doors and register attendance, which removes duplicate hardware and duplicate enrolment.

Question 2

Is biometric data safe to store?

Accepted Answer

Readers store encrypted templates rather than images, and templates can be held on the user's card instead of centrally where privacy policy requires.

Question 3

How quickly can a new employee be enrolled?

Accepted Answer

Minutes. With on-site card printing and encoding, a new joiner can leave induction with a working, correctly zoned badge.

Question 4

Can access rights follow HR joiner and leaver processes automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes, where an HR or directory system is integrated. A new starter's zones are provisioned from their HR record, and a leaver's access is revoked on the last working day rather than relying on someone remembering to email facilities.

Question 5

Which credential type should we choose — card, mobile or biometric?

Accepted Answer

General office doors work well on smart cards or mobile credentials; high-assurance zones such as server rooms and cash handling add biometric or dual-factor. We mix modalities per zone rather than forcing one across the whole site.

Question 6

How many doors can a single access control system handle?

Accepted Answer

From a single door to several hundred across multiple buildings. The controller topology changes with scale, which is why we design the architecture and zone matrix before quoting hardware, rather than selling a fixed panel count.

Question 7

How is visitor and contractor access managed?

Accepted Answer

Visitor management issues temporary credentials with limited zones and automatic expiry at end of day, while contractor induction and document-expiry checks can be layered on for sites that require it.

Question 8

Do access control systems comply with Civil Defence fire requirements?

Accepted Answer

Doors on escape routes are wired fail-safe and release on fire alarm or power loss. We design the locking, power and fire-alarm interface to satisfy Civil Defence and coordinate with your fire consultant.

Question 9

Can biometric readers cope with Dubai's outdoor heat, dust and gloves?

Accepted Answer

Facial and palm-vein readers handle dusty, humid and gloved conditions better than optical fingerprint. We choose the modality per location — outdoor turnstiles, clean offices and high-throughput entrances each favour different readers.

Question 10

What happens if a card is lost or a fingerprint won't read?

Accepted Answer

Lost cards are revoked from the console in seconds, and we enrol multiple fingers with a card or PIN fallback so a worn print never leaves someone locked out.

Question 11

Can the same system produce and encode ID badges in-house?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A single-pass workflow captures the photo, prints the badge and encodes the access credential, so a new joiner leaves induction with a working, correctly zoned card rather than a temporary one.

Question 12

What reporting does access control provide for audits?

Accepted Answer

Audit trails record every badge event by door, user and time, plus anti-passback violations and forced-door alarms. Reports can be scheduled for HR, facilities and security reviews.

Question 13

What warranty and support applies to ID systems?

Accepted Answer

Manufacturer warranty covers readers, controllers and printers, with claims handled on your behalf. Our maintenance contract adds remote monitoring, preventive visits, consumables supply and defined response times.
